Unwinding
Based on John Barnes unwinding, the classes incorporate the unwinding basics with Thai and other modalities to help a client achieve their goal. By combining unwinding with a posture and gait assessment the therapist can see where the “stuck” areas in the fascia are on the body. They can then set goals on how to release or help the client release these areas.
There are two types of unwinding: individual or assisted. Individual unwinding is where the client unwinds themselves while the therapist watches. Assisted unwinding is where the therapist (or up to 4 therapists) assist the client to unwind.
Posture and Gait
This therapist will watch a client walk and stand to determine where postural deviations and “stuck” fascia occur. They will then determine the client’s goals in helping to correct the deviations.
Handles
How do you move someone larger and heavier then you? Find out how by finding their “handles” to move them around for your Thai moves or stretching your client on the table.
Pregnancy
You can help a pregnant woman avoid stretch marks, have an easier time carrying the child and an easier birth by using some of the techniques shown in this class
